Dr. Adam Roussel is a native of Destrehan, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Human Movement Science from Louisiana State University, and a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from L.S.U. Health Sciences Center in New Orleans with clinical experience in acute care rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and pediatrics. Dr. Roussel then went on to attain a Doctorate in Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Georgia where he graduated Cum Laude. In February of 2018, Dr. Roussel will begin post-graduate work in Orthopedics at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT, with a concentration in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and forensics. The field of Chiropractic Orthopedics offers a non-operative alternative to surgical orthopedic healthcare relative to treatment of disorders of the human spine and extremities. After completing this program, Dr. Roussel will be eligible to sit for the board exam of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists and become a diplomate in orthopedics (DACO), with a subspecialty diplomate in forensics (DABFP) with the American Board of Forensic Professionals. According to the ACO, less than 2% of practicing chiropractors attain this status.
Dr. Roussel attained certifications as a Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology Doctor from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, an Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) by the Kevin Hearon Council on Extremity Adjusting, Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner (CKTP) by the Kinesio Taping® Association International, Certified Active Release Technique® Provider by Active Release Technique® and Dry Needling by the Louisiana State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
With an education in both the allied health and chiropractic fields, his knowledge enables him to assist patients to attain their highest level of function using a multifaceted, individualized approach. Dr. Roussel received additional training in personal injury on topics such as Colossus, clinical instability/translational injury, concussion/traumatic brain injury, spine and extremity imaging, whiplash/cervical acceleration-deceleration (CAD) injury, personal injury documentation and durable medical equipment (DME) at the Personal Injury Institute in Flower Mound, Texas. Dr. Roussel is actively studying under Arthur C. Croft, PhD, DC, MSc, MPH, FACO, and is a candidate for Advanced Certification in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in November of 2017.
Dr. Roussel is a member of the Chiropractic Association of LA (CAL), International Chiropractic Association (ICA), and is a board member for the ARC of St. Charles Parish.

Carolyn has over 20 years of massage therapy experience. She joined Riverbend Family Chiropractic in June of 2014. Carolyn specializes in Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point Therapy and Prenatal Massage. Carolyn prides herself on giving her patients what they need, all while providing the most calming and relaxing massages that ease pain and discomfort. Carolyn resides in Norco with her husband, John Matherne.
