How Can a Chiropractic Pain Relief Center Help Me?

Pain affects every aspect of our lives.  Those living with either acute or chronic pain are often given medication to manage symptoms.  A chiropractic pain relief center is different in that we diagnose and treat the root of your pain using a hands-on approach.  Our next series of articles covers some of the different types of treatments used in a chiropractic pain relief center and how they benefit you as a patient.  Let’s take a look:

Chiropractic Adjustments

When your spine or joints become misaligned, your physical function is compromised.  Misalignment commonly occurs as a result of an accident or injury, but can also result from everyday activities such as sitting at a desk, sleeping, posture, etc. A chiropractic adjustment in a pain relief center setting involves manipulating the spine and/or joints to correct your body’s alignment, which reduces pain, restores joint mobility and improves overall physical function.

Decompression Therapy

Spinal disc compression occurs when discs in the spine become herniated or compressed.  This causes symptoms such as pain, weakness and numbness, especially in the extremities.  Decompression therapy is a non-surgical treatment that relieves spinal disc compression by using gentle, motorized traction.  This not only promotes healing, but it also reduces pain and, in most cases, eliminates the need for invasive spine surgery.

Our next article will cover two more types of treatments typically offered at a chiropractic pain relief center.
